Prototype Furniture
Paper tubes, zip ties, and rubber bands created this interactive piece.
Created as part of a “MoreLabs” workshop, this was a quick-turn prototype of an interactive bench that could be configured in countless ways. It was on display at the Anderson Collection of Art on Stanford Campus October thru November of 2015.
We were a team of five strangers that came together for the workshop. With limited time, we designed and completed our interactive bench in a way we found...good. We did this by simplifying the structure into levels and lengths. Each of the three components have a straightforward relationship with their neighbor, but all of them can be mixed up and arranged in new ways that are up to the user.
